The Anchor of Maritime Defence in the Middle East & North Africa - Under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Heir Apparent of the state of Qatar, hosted by Qatar Armed Forces and Qatar Emiri Naval Forces, QMDI is to stage Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition (DIMDEX). Following its successful inauguration in 2008, Qatar will once again host DIMDEX in March 29 – 31 2010. The only comprehensive and fully integrated naval and coastal defence show in the MENA region. DIMDEX 2010 encompasses four major events - Exhibition, Conference, VIP Delegations Programme and Visiting Warships. DIMDEX 2010 features ‘The Middle East Navy Commanders (MENC) Conference’ which will take place on 30 March 2010, produced by RUSI. MENC provides insights into anti-piracy efforts as well as other key factors influencing the Maritime defence industry in the region.
